4/5!
I loved this book. After the last disappointing read I could feel myself potentially falling into a slump, but this book pulled me right out of it!
Rowan, the main character, has a plan to find the demon who murdered her mother. Said plan may look impossible now, but still…she has a plan. However, all that goes out the window when she is mistaken for her seductive demon doppelgänger and taken into the demon city for her execution. Luck is on her side though and she manages to convince her mysterious demon kidnapper that she is not who he thinks she is and instead finds herself making a deal that not only keeps her alive in this monstrous city but also one step closer to finding her mothers killer.
I had not heard anything about this book when I bought it a few months ago. I saw it on the shelf of my local bookstore and after a quick skim of the blurb decided that it sounded like something I might like. Of course then it sat on my bookshelf for a few months before I even bothered to touch it but let’s be honest, what book lover doesn’t have a physical TBR with at least 20 books. But it was definitely a great find, between the characters and the plot I just could not put it down.
I read it in six hours!! It was that good. I loved that the novel was all in first person, it made it so easy to slip into Rowan’s head and experience everything just as she was. I would definitely recommend this to any paranormal romance lover. It was amazing and I could not put it down!
Hopefully you all love this as much as I did!!
